Ereaders vs Paper books

For as long as I can remember, readers have fought over e-readers and real books. Some think that you’re not a true reader if you don’t read a paperback. A lot of readers refuse to even pick up an e-reader and try it out. And then, there is the reader that only ever reads on their e-reader and doesn’t bother to read paper books anymore. Personally, I have gone full-on e-reader for the past five years. It was an easy switch for me, I grew up as a teenager reading fanfiction on my phone or the computer. I got to the point for a while that was all I ever read. Then I was introduced to ebooks and read on my phone for a while. It hurt my eyes and I was straining them to the point that my vision was blurry when I wasn’t reading. After having a baby, I went from reading physical books and occasional ebooks to full-on ebooks and then caved a year after and bought my first kindle paperwhite. It was the best $100 plus dollars I ever spent in my life. It basically paid for itself. If you th...

Happy Fall Y'all!

Fall is here and Summer is still trying to be in the spotlight.  Where I live, it stays warm all the way into December sometimes. It gives me conflicted feelings when it's still so warm out but all the stores are selling coats, pumpkin everything, and dare I say--Christmas deco! There are times I wonder about these retailers. Best wishes to all and I hope everyone has had a great summer. I have some exciting and also some sad news. The Way of Things is now on preorder and will be available on November 1st with Amazon on kindle and paperback form. The rumor has been going around and I know you guys have been waiting. I've talked about turning the Tales of the Nez Perce series into hardback books but decided to pull all of the paperbacks for now. I'm planning a rewrite of Mustang Eyes and Black Wolf. I've grown a lot in the past decade as a writer and I just feel they need a little TLC. I will leave the kindle versions up and just update them when the time comes and of c...

Welcoming the New Year

A new year is here! I have some exciting things going to be happening. I'm in the process of revising Mustang Eyes and Black Wolf and planning to make a new duo book of the two together. On top of that, I'm getting hardcover editions released for the whole series.    I have missed the world of Leanne and Mustang Eyes which was the reason of inspiration of The Way of Things. Some more details of that coming soon.   A new resolution for me this new year... blog more! I definitely don't update enough but think about it often.   I would like you guys to offer suggestions of what you would like to hear about or topics to talk on. NaNoWriMo 2021!

I have finally decided to do NaNoWriMo for the first time. Back in 2014 I had planned to try it but something happened and well... that never happened. So this time I decided I'm actually going to do it.    I decided to work in one of my newer stories 'The Way of Things'. A wagon train/Indian captive story. If you guys enjoyed 'The Tales of the Nez Perce' series then you should also like this one. As you know, I am not a big book writer. I don't believe I've ever written a book longer than 46k. I'm more of a novella writer and since 'The Way of Things' is already to Chapter 4 then this book should be done at the end of this month... let's hope.    Today is day 2 and I did successfully write 1716 yesterday. Keep your fingers crossed! Excerpt from 'The Way of Things' Unease works its way through me as I keep walking deeper and deeper into the dense wood. If I keep walking soon I'll be lost. The ground is more barren than it sho...

Time for Some Changes

I know it has been over a year since I've posted a blog. Quite honestly this covid business has thrown me for a loop. I'm getting back into writing more now. There was a time that I took a long needed break and got back into a game I used to play called Howrse. Still playing but not as hard now. I need to do more writing.     I have not blogged my latest new release,  Hadisa's Mercy  but yes I've actually published another book. Haha... surprise! I am terrible at keeping up blogging. It's kind of like my journaling. I can journal for a whole month and never miss a beat and then disappear off a cliff somewhere. *cough*     What I'm really blogging about is that I've decided to leave Facebook. It will take me a while because I have things on there that I need to save and people that I need to keep in contact with. I've been on there since 2008. I have recently joined XAPIT and literally have no friends or followers. If anyone is on...

Their friendship was pure but tragedies out of their control tore them apart. Now ten years later, they are brought together again, only to face an even greater danger.
